Waterbug

I figured I would at least set the bug motor on the cat hulls. My buddy is ill and we could not get started actually mounting it. http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/d4570/d4570006/101_2591_zpsnlu9o4ac.jpg http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/d4570/d4570006/101_2593_zpsb5ldkzve.jpg http:...

Re: Still a project

Well I got all the metals prepped for paint.
Painted the underside of the sheet and the Aluminum part under the sheet with rubber truck undercoating.
Then I painted 3 layers of Gaiter glide, slick paint .
Next is the HDPE.

Re: Still a project

I flipped the Waterbug hull bottom side up to work on the hulls. I added some more bridging and cross support. http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/d4570/101_2472_zps0hhfvbgt.jpg http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/d4570/101_2472_zps0hhfvbgt.jpg http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/...

Working on the cat hull, Waterbug

As I'm waiting for my chain and sprockets for the final drive. They should be here sometime today. In the meantime I've been working more on the cat hull. I did find out that Mt will soon require a positive drain in a boat, aka bung plug. Gota put something in even if I never use it. http://i1221.p...

more on the water bug

I ordered some sprockets and chain for the bug.
They go from the transition to the prop.
I'll have to have some fabrication done to get the prop to mate up with the drive hub.

Still a project

Just because I don't talk about it doesn't mean I'm not working on it. Every peace has to be hand fabricated in my back yard and shop with a metric crescent wrench hack saw, and hammer. It TAKES FOR EVER ! I put in some seats and added some support to the sides to carry the motor and drive. I have ...

Absolutely nothing to do with boating... You may have seen this one, Boys Moose. Down By Dillon Mt. Three days of coyote calling in outrages mud, rain and snow. http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/d4570/moose%20b_zpskqnfazp7.jpg http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd474/d4570/Copy%20of%20101_...

I found a PROP

I have a prop I think.
It is a 64" x 36 pitch two blade wood prop.
I'll need to make some kind of adapter to go from a rotex pattern to a 5 on 4 High speed Wheel hub.
Shipped from Florida to Montana for $150 .

Coyotes, anyone calling them yet

We call all year long and is the driving reason for the airboat project . Well like most my dog trips it starts well before sun up... This trip I was heading south east of town to the King ranch to hook up with a rancher and try and kill some coyotes. On the way up I was fallowing a smaller SUV and...

Not giving up

I have not given up. I just have to let the Money get down to my project. Maybe If I stopped Hunting every day off... Did some more welding on the tubing around the edge of the cat hulls. Epoxied and riveted brackets to hold it on. Working on a plan to support the motor/drive and prop. http://i1221...
